The Golden West (1941)

Summary:
The film discusses the rise of mining in the West and recycles footage from other films to include commentary on the Navajo/Diné peoples. Further description forthcoming.
Cultural Narrative:

There is stock footage of Navajo/Diné people throughout this film. This footage also appears in Tribesourcing films Another to Conquer and Navajo Land. Note: The stock footage contains demeaning language and may not be suitable for all viewers.  It reflects stereotypes of Native peoples prevalent in the 1940s. Its attitudes are not those of the Tribesourcing Southwest Film project.
